Interview to Domitilla.
- Can you please describe your day in Malta visiting the hotels in Valletta?
Yesterday I visited two of the most luxurious hotels of Valletta: Phoenicia and Excelsior Hotels. Two different locations with two different stories. At first I went to the Phoenicia Hotel where a guide took us around the hotel showing us the most important parts of the structure. Each part represents a strong point of the hotel as the restaurant, the theatre (used for wedding or meeting) and the rooms with amazing view and moreover the open spaces with a very big garden and fantastic design. In general this hotel can be considered modern. In front that there is The Excelsior Hotel. It opens on a big entrance with fountains and accurate plants. I got in and it appeared in front of me a great hall. I followed the guide for one hour because the venue is very big. I saw rooms, restaurants, bar, spa, exterior pool and tribal club. The guide has explained us everything.
- Did you enjoy these visits and what were the most interesting aspects of this activity for Alternanza Scuola Lavoro?
I enjoyed these visits especially because are particular experiences that it is difficult to try if you are an independent traveler. However with a group you have the possibility to discover other worlds as the luxurious one. In both hotels I noticed the workers section and the relaxing zone. It is important to notice the work behind these big hotels and all these people who came from the world. For instance the Spanish worker in the first hotel, or the Italian worker in the second one. It’s been interesting to know that I could have one day a possibility to come here and try a similar work experience.
