“Everything was perfect”, interview to Madalena F.

  • Can you please describe your day in Malta visiting the hotels in Valletta and St. Julian’s?

At 2 pm we were picked up by the local council and were in Valletta at about 2:30. Then we were picked up by a hotel staff and led around, he explained to us how the hotel was created and what the condition of the hotel is. He showed us the lobby, the lounge, the event room, the dining room, the club room, the huge garden with different activity areas and the beautiful pool with the big bar, the self-grown garden was very interesting as the cook their vegetables and fruits themselves , Then he brought us to the exit and told us a little bit about the rooms because we could not see because of the guests, we said goodbye to him and had one more hour to look around in Valletta before the bus has picked us up.

  • Did you enjoy these visits and what the most interesting aspects of this activity for your Erasmus Plus Programm?

I found the visit were very interesting,  i was already in a hotel often but never saw it from this perspective. It was a lot of fun, especially to hear how they organize everything, because it is not easy to manage a complete hotel. Also very interesting it was to know which famous guests have visited the hotel. The hotel is not only nice to look at but also has very interesting interiors, one is very classic and the other completely modern and has the front of a boat.

  • Please briefly describe your impression with regards to the Pheonicia Hotel.

I think the Pheonicia hotel is very nice to look at. The staff is very polite and prepared for everything, when a car comes they are ready to unpack the suitcases and receive the customer, which shows me, that they are very organized and structured. The interior is very inviting and you feel right at home. They have large and many rooms which make the hotel seem very big, as they offer so many activities, the guests have a large selection which is very good for the hotel.

  • Please briefly describe your impression with regards to the InterContinental Hotel.

This hotel was my personal favorite, it is very welcoming, modern and very big. It had different rooms, which I really liked, is that the guest can decide if they want to have their privacy in the dining room by pulling a curtain around their table or not. The staff are very friendly and everywhere to find. The hotel offers an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and for the clients who have booked a suit also a sky pool with a view over the whole of Malta, they offer for each client also the possibility to visit a gym or to relax with a massage, However you have to pay for what is understandable. A round about service is always there for the guest.

  • Would you recommend to your friend and relatives to stay at one of the hotels visited and if yes why?

Yes, in the InterContinental hotel since I find the hotel very pleasant and would book a room there for myself. The reason for this is because the atmosphere is very good, the staff is very friendly and the facilities are very inviting. What I really liked are not only the rooms but also the various wellness areas, such as massages or the sky pool.

  • Do you have any suggestion for the hotel’s management with regards to their services or possible improvements if applicable?

No, everything was perfect.
