Birkirkara Police Station:
The Birkirkara Police Station is in the middle of Birkirkara. More precisely, it is in Floriana 1530 (Pjazza San Kalcidonju). The duty of the executive police is to preserve public order and peace, to prevent and to detect and investigate offences, to collect evidence and to bring the offenders, whether principals or accomplices, before the judicial authorities.
Pastizzi Tasting: discovering Maltese food and traditions:
Like every country, Malta has a special food tradition. One of the most popular dishes is the Pastizzi. But there is not only one famous food. Also very popular for example is the goat’s cheese from Gozo. It is made in the morning and sold in the afternoon. Then there is the Ftira. The Ftira is a kind of flatbread spread with oil and topped with tomatoes, garlic and onions. If you want something sweet you have to try the Imqaret. This is a pastry in diamond from filled with dates and then fried.
Birkirkara and Maltese culture:
Apart from the beaches and the wonderful weather, Malta has even more to offer. A good overview of the island’s turbulent history is provided by the museums, exhibitions and temples. Go through the streets of Mdina or enjoy a concert of local musicians, but you can also just sit down and chill on the terrace of a cafeteria in Valletta.
